The Blue Tangerine Federation
The charity we are raising money for is the Blue Tangerine Federation who raise money for the St Luke’s school in Redbourn and the Collett School in Hemel. These two schools are where children with special educational needs are able to develop self-esteem and confidence to prepare them for their later adult life. They fundraise to help support the school’s children, staff and families to enable them to make the best and most enjoyable school life for the children as possible.
Wheelchair Swing
The money we have raised is going towards playground apparatus for the children who otherwise are unable top join in on the playground fun. For example, some of our money is going towards a swing for the children in wheelchairs who before didn’t have anything to play on. At the St Luke’s school they have also opened their own Horsebox café which helps educate and teach the children of the school the skills of how to become a barista, which helps prepare them for the future and help them get a job once they leave the school, providing them with many opportunities for them to learn and grow.
